  4. Hello. This is fg/farb-rausch on the keys and there are
  5. a few things you should know about this demo. 1st, the
  6. original release was done in about 13 hours at the party
  7. place, so don't expect that much quality. 2nd, we thought
  8. we had to compensate for this, so a remix of the original
  9. demo by th is included. 3rd, although the party version
  10. was already quite compatible, we did some additional fixes
  11. for the final version.

  13. it *should* work on nvidia riva tnt, tnt2, geforce and
  14. geforce2-based cards, matrox g400, cards with s3 savage
  15. chipsets, and ati rage pro cards. others will probably
  16. work too, but we had no opportunity to test them.

  18. it will NOT work on 3dfx voodoo 1-3 based cards because they
  19. don't support some features that are essential for the
  20. execution of this demo (i.e., render to texture and texture
  21. sizes >256x256). we don't know about voodoo4/5 chipsets because
  22. we had no cards to test them.

  24. maybe you will have to use 16bit screenmodes or 16bit textures
  25. (try the "low texture quality" checkbox) if your videocard doesn't
  26. have enough ram installed. we're sorry, but some of our effects are
  27. quite memory intensive.

  34.   now some facts about the demo. as i already stated in the intro-
  35. duction, we did this demo in about 13 hours, so this is by no means
  36. a representative example of what you can expect from us (although we
  37. had fun making this demo ;)

  39. th seemed to be kinda bored and decided to remix the original demo.
  40. the result is accessible via the "flavor" selector.

  42. in case you wonder, fvs32 means "farb-rausch visual system 32" and is
  43. our demosystem. some other groups will maybe use this demosystem too
  44. in the near future. in case you want to chat about fvs, are a skilled
  45. 2d/3d-artist, design, musician or coder, want to trade cocktail recipes,
